I had or still have the same problem. Elmo(doxie)is 15 and has been here all his life, Chewie joined us 5 months ago. He is my Yorkie. They are both males and really don't like each other much. Elmo will playfor a time but when he is finished Chewie insists on more play since he is a puppy. They have "tied it up" a time or two, but I am always there to pull them apart. With time Chewie is learning from Elmo but I feed them separately in two rooms and never leave them alone unattended. They will sleep together and play but ever once in a while they will still get into a tussel. I say just give them more time and watch carefully. Always supervise them together.
