Frodo broke his front right leg yesterday in TWO places!
We were going for a walk and he decided to be a bold boy and jumped from a platform over 5 feet tall instead of going down the stairs. I saw him approach the platform out of the corner of the eye and in the second it took for me to turn and face him, he just JUMPED!!
I was too far to try and catch him, and he immediately began yelping after he was on the ground. So I rushed him to the vet and now, he's got a cast and splinter around his leg
The vet was great and after taking a full-body x-ray, said he would be fine and that he would have to be on a strict regimen of no exercise and minimal movement for 6-8 weeks. He's only been in our house for 3 months and he's already has his first major accident - I feel so horrible!! No doubt he is and will be getting lots of TLC and attention!
The huge yellow thing in the picture is his cast - he's coping with it okay but he hates it!!
