I brought home a new puppy recently, and my older pup is SO MEAN to him!! I'm trying to put him first and not to intervene when they're fighting (they're not hurting each other, and I know they're trying to find out who's top dog) but my eldest WILL NOT let the new pup play with ANY toys. It's seems like the new pup, Bernie, is being submissive, he always looks like he's just trying to get away, but my older yorkie, Mammon, just won't let up. I've tried feeding Mammon first, but he won't eat his and just goes after the puppy's food. Any toy that Bernie picks up, Mammon wants, if I give Bernie a new toy, Mammon drops the old one and goes after the one in Bernie's mouth, and poor little Bernie never puts up a fight. Mammon has been VERY well socialized with dogs, in our home, other people's home, outside, and he's NEVER acted like this before. Someone PLEASE tell me this will all end soon!!!
