 I thought I was the only one
Good to know I am not the only one who feeds raw food. Rigo gets a bit and I mean just a bit of everything I feed my bassets. He gets the round circle cuts of beef bone from the butchers when my big guys get the knuckles. He is almost 9 and is just now getting to where he needs to get his teeth cleaned for the very first time. I feel it is the raw bones he gets that keeps them clean. Today, rigo has had a bite of cantelope, the raw heart of the turkey I am cooking for easter, some yoke from the eggs I had for breakfast and a raw piece of potato while I was peeling some and of course he loves the baby raw carrots. I am extreemly careful to feed him only the lean parts of the raw meats, as my vet told me his pancreas and liver cant handle fat as well as my hounds. |
