I started this thread - and said that I am lucky in that my Yorkies' hair never matts or tangles - and that I like his "wavy hair."
However - when I read about those of you having problems with your pups hair, I do know how you feel.
You should have a Bichon - His hair is absolutely totally the thickest hair you will ever find on a dog. (It's like Yorkie hair times a hundred!) When he's groomed, it's straightened, but if he gets wet - it gets curly. When I try to comb him, it is like trying to comb a sheep.....it is like "wool." I can spend forever trying to get one small area combed out. It's impossible - so, we're going to the groomer and getting a shorter cut - again!!!!! But - boy is he "beautiful" .... like a pure white cottonball when he comes home.
