There was something like this posted about a week ago and I had the same question. My yorkie will be 5 months old on the 19 of this month and she is only 1 lb 11 oz . Goldenray yorkie breeder answered by saying everything should be fine as long as I wait for her (my yorkie) to reach at least 2 lbs or a few oz's more. Goldenray from what I understand does this often as she has her puppys spayed and neutered before they go to their new homes. I hope this helps to ease your mind a little.
