Default AnnaBelle will be OKAY

We spent 10 hours at UT today. When we got there Annabelle was extremely lethargic and showing signs of dehydration. They found the second puncture hole and were able to open it up so the area could be cleaned out. No feces entered her stomach that was good news. There was a tear in her rectum, which is where the feces was leaking into her back from. They were able to hydrate her and clean all of the wound out. WHen she came out she was boucing everywhere, like she had never been sick. Her surgery to fix the whole is on Thursday. There is some nerve damage on the left side of her rectum, but they said that wont affect her. She should be able to live a healthy life with no side effects. He said that if the infection had remained in there when her antibiotic ran out she would have gone septic. I am so glad that I pushed my vet here. Thanks for all of the support, we couldn't have done it without all of you.
