The litter we use is called Swheat Scoop. It is made from crushed wheat, not clay. It just seems cleaner and healthier for our dogs. The clay stuff used to get encrusted around their tiny paws. We just put it in a litter box designed for dogs and it works like a charm. Our friends always think it is the funniest thing to see our dogs running into the laundry room to use the litter box
