I am not sure what happened here but it does say on her website that a home visit is a requirement. Since private rescue does not receive funds from state or local governments who did you think would pay for an airline ticket to Oklahoma to do a home visit from Florida? People that rescue dogs do this on a voluntary basis and spend their own $$$ or do their own fundraising to help dogs that irresponsible owners have thrown away for the most part. Rescue's first concern is for the welfare of the dog, not the person which I understand can be frustrating to people. Our rescue guarantees that we will always take back a dog if the situation changes which is another reason to only adopt within a certain area. I don't know this rescue organization from a hill of beans but I think your statements is a little strong without knowing the details. IMHO.
