As I am training my puppy to toilet outside in the garden, i took her outside right away. She had had her first shot and had been wormed.She had been used to going into a small garden area with mum and siblings,so wasn't frightened at all. I had puppy proofed the garden,fences etc. prior to getting her.She was just over 8 weeks old.Luckily it was summer here in NZ--24 degrees ,so I could leave the sliding doors open most of the day and let her explore.She loves the garden. I was careful not to take her out and put her on the footpath until she had all her shots,although i carried her to the dairy etc. to let her get used to outside.We visited friends with fenced gardens and no dogs/up to date with shots dogs. I also made sure I deflead and wormed my cats-but do this anyway. You can see her happy outdoors in my avatar.
