Actualy, these days, surgical towels are made with this blue fiber that is detectable by x-ray. My uncle Rick is a heart surgeon and every time he does a surgery, he has tons of "left over" blue surgical towels that he never even used so he brings them home and gives them away to family. They're great for every day round-the-house use! My entire family has hoards of them by now and we all call them Rickrags.
