If this occured on March 24th that would make them about 21 days pregnant if that is indeed what happened. It is sometimes possible to palpate the dogs abdomen and actually feel the puppies as little marbles starting to grow in the horns of the uterus. DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF. If done wrong you could injure the growing fetuses. If you are concerned and want to know ask your vet if they have a fetal ultrasound machine. I believe they can detect them right about this time or he may be able to palpate them. I could hardly ever tell that my Sophie was ever pregnant up until the day she delivered and she is about 5#. I would want to know so I could prepare. I also had her xrayed at about 45 days so we would know how many to expect and if they were looking like she would be able to deliver them with no difficulty.
