Is he pooing in the same place all the time?
My friends dog was doing the exact same thing, she moved her funiture and put the TV on the spot he always used and he never did it again. I am not suggesting rearranging all your funiture but maybe make that spot unreachable. A peice of funiture or a gate or something just for a while. Just a thought, I am far from an expert!
