I know just what you mean - my hubby had to retire unexpectedly and has some health problems, so we got Rowdy to be his companion. Just the other day I heard my hubby talking to someone on the phone and I heard him say, "Rowdy is the light of our life!!!". I was so surprised and not surprised at the same time. Rowdy certainly IS the light of our life (our granddaughter, notwithstanding!
- but I WAS surprised to hear my hubby say it to someone other than ME!
And just like you, we just got Rex (12 weeks old) - Rowdy's brother one year later (same parents). I can tell you that two is definitely double the JOY!!!
