I'm still in school, but my college incorporates work terms so I have already been working at the job I will have when I graduate. I'm a Civil Engineering Technician, soon to be Technologist in December. I am trained to do materials testing for construction projects (soils, concrete, asphalt, etc.) as well as work concerning hydraulics (dams, water lines, etc.), structural design, road design, and drafting. When I'm done this course I hope to go back to university and maybe get a masters degree in civil engineering, in the area of structural design
If I ever decide to change careers I think I would become a vet tech. I wanted to be a vet my whole life from the time i was about 5 years old, and only changing in high school when I decided I couldn't deal with having to put animals down
