 Collar for obedience training
I'm hoping to start my Yorkie on obedience training soon. I haven't checked yet, so I may be anticipating trouble that won't happen, but I have a feeling the class is going to require a choke collar. A number of years ago I took a large dog to an obedience class in a small town in Oklahoma. The teacher required choke collars for all the dogs, even the tiny ones. Now we're in an even smaller town in Arkansas, so I'm expecting the same. I never, ever put a collar of any kind on Susan and don't plan to do it to please a teacher, especially not a collar you snap. What authoritative sources can I cite to convince the teacher that Yorkies shouldn't have choke collars? |
