Cali went in about 5 weeks ago t the Animal Emergency Hospital that I'm all too familiar with because she hadn't pooped in 5 days and was throwing up. They did xrays and thought there was an area that looked plicated like maybe a string in her intestines, which knowing Cali was entirely possible. Well she was in heat and needed to have a liver biopsy when she was going to be spayed so later that night they did abdominal surgery, spayed her did biopsies and there was no blockage. Well they had her 2 days and then I got her home and it took her 3 days to go poop. I gave her littl ebits of ice cream to see if that would help. Then she finanlly went. Cali has been on chicken breast and hamburger since her surgery and I am now getting her to eat a small amount of her dog food. I think it just takes time with these little ones to get them back to normal. I would call the vet to see what they advise. I know hwat you mean about being costly!! Good luck |
