I'm sure apples are good for them however be careful of the peelings..
Most of the time apple trees are sprayed with pesticides and some of the pesticide can get on the peelings... I used to raise exotic birds and this was one of the things to watch for.. the seeds are poisionous to humans so I would also be careful of the seeds.
