Although im sure yes some UKers release their yorkie too early the same as some do in the Usa, in my experience of searching I viewed several litters and spoke to numerous breeders and only one was willing to give me a puppy at 8 weeks(he weighed 4lb and had large parents too) all others wouldnt give me a puppy before 10 weeks or later, one wanted to keep until 16 weeks.
I think this sort of practise goes on all over the world not just UK/USA.
Oh by the way Pippa was 10 weeks when i got her.
