Toto's trainer, Paul, taught her the command "stay with me" to "rein her in" if she begins to wander too far out on her leash or begins to stop and smell every tiny little thing she encounters! We let her have the full length of her leash if it looks safe but if we are about to meet other dogs, people and expecially children we just tell her "stay with me" and she comes back in close enough we can reach down and scoop her up if need be!
It's unbelievable how fast those little legs can walk without actually running!!
