On saturday when we were at the park with friends, we took the dogs down to the river so the larger dogs could cool off. We were all waiting to see how Cairo and my hubby's minpin, Tucker, would react to the water as it was their first time. Tucker put one paw in and backed right up deciding that it was way tooo cold. I figured this was exactly what Cairto would do. NOPE!! She dove right in!!!
My little 5 month, 4 pound yorkie decided to go for a swim in a freezing cold river!! She loved it!! I had to reel her in with ther leash. Of course she started to shake right away so I wrapped her up in her sweater and my jacket, and she was just fine
(I had to bath her again as soon as we got home though, yuck!)
And when we went back to the park last night, she tried to go in again!!! I kept her on a very tight leash this time, so she didn't have a chance.
Does anyone else have a swimming yorkie?
