Just chiming in here to add that Buddy only goes about twice a day and it seems in line with everyone here - sometimes he'll take a break during dinner to poop! And sometimes it will be 8-10 hours for him to get it out.
I tried the Olive Oil trick, by coating a piece of chicken in it - didn't really seem to work, but his tummy hasn't been doing well, so I'd have to try it again when he's more "normal".
