I am also for harsher penalties. I think that the states have more lenient penalties. When people here are found to cause such horrific acts towards animals, they usually just get fined for a couple hundred dollars and no jail time. I hope we (USA) start imposing harsher penalties that involve jail time.

I love my dogs so much that I would be devastated and ill for life if something like that happened to my dogs. My quality of life would definitely suffer and I think that the perpetrator should also have to suffer the same loss of quality in life.
