Apple, my chihuahua, got stung by a honey bee soon after I got her..her little foot swelled up HUGE and she cried and cried...
I gave her a tiny dose of liquid benadryl and she was fine....took a good long nap.
I would hesitate to tell anyone a dose to give their puppies.....but I was concerned that her foot swelled THAT MUCH....THAT FAST.....
I think Lil Bit got stung on the nose last week....she was sniffing around in some clover and just yelped and cried for a minute....of course in all that hair I never found a stinger and never did see it even swell......she was fine.
A sting in the mouth could be a problem...swelling that near their airway could be dangerous! |
