I did learn that honeybee stingers should be removed if at all possible (carefully) and honeybees are acidic and a solution of baking soda will help counteract the sting.

For Wasp stings, they are alkaline in nature and a solution of vinegar can be used to ease the pain and discomfort.

Also watch closely for any signs of breathing problems and be prepared to take to a vet if the airway in any way appears to be swelling.
