Yogi weighs 4# 10 0z and my vet has me give him 6.25mg which is 1/4 tsp, so 12.5mg would be a good starting dose for a 12lb dog. This is 1/2 tsp or 2.5cc or mls (cc and ml are the same) or give 1/2 tablet if this is what you have. It didn't make Yogi sleepy at all and it does help. Good luck.
