When we brought Diesel home he stayed in a "real" baby playpen. I kept his puppy pad in there with him. We brought him home at 9 weeks old and he was already using the pads. Since I am home with him all the time I took him out all the time. It didn't take long to get him housebroken. He isn't fixed and marks his territory OUTSIDE all the time. He has yet to do it in the house. I have to admit I have gotten very lucky with him.
