Hello,

I'm a new member. I don't have a Yorkie yet, but have been trying to educate myself before I get one. Saturday I visited with one breeder who has moms with show quality puppies and the puppies are priced accordingly. She also has a small female who is expecting puppies in a week or so. The Mom is AKC registered and the Dad is CKC registered. The breeder does not want to register the litter. She told me I could have one of these puppies for $500. I asked a lot of questions about the health of the parents etc. Do breeders sometimes not register their dogs and sell them for less money even though the parents are registered?
