 JUST "DOCK IT". :) (just "do it" spoof)
My little girl is coming in from Hungary soon. Her tail is NOT docked. I will be docking it for sure, however due to the neccessity of anesthesia and the (minor) pain involved I am going to wait until she's closer to around 10 months to do it. The reason being is that after around 3 days of birth it's typically done, after that they have to weigh enough to even undergo the anesthesia. Why put your dog under immediately after putting on the appropriate amount of growth and weight only to maybe have to turn around and do it again to have his/her desiduous teeth removed?? Yeah, so I'm just going to wait and see if she'll need any teeth pulled and if so do it then. If not, at least she'll be a bit older and theoretically safer to be put under. That's my opinion. Oh, and yes I will be showing this dog and while I could campaign her w/ a full tail, my personal preference is not to! |
