I also have a cotton coated yorkie and at almost 15 month, she still has the dark coat. I love it though. I recently went to visit her mother (to see some new puppies for a friend who wants one)and her mother at 3 years old is still dark. She looks just like her mother too! So maybe she will change one day but it doesn't not look like its going to be in the near future.
