I considered a maltese but didn't want to deal with fur that matts easily and tear stains. They are really cute though. Soft coated wheaten terriers are pretty cool. In the past I only had big dogs (labs, goldens) but once you go tiny it's hard to go back. I just really love having dogs that I can sleep with and take practically anywhere, and it's hard to beat poop that you can pick up with a tissue.
