Hmmm...so it sounds like just about anything works with Yorkies as long as it's consistent?

I just want to make it easy for him and he is so small and young that I don't want to do anything to mess him up and then mess up housebreaking him.

I've never had to housetrain a dog but my parents did when I was growing up and it never worked.
Thanks for all the helpful info. I think I'm going to possibly do puppy pads for a little while. He has already shown he "gets that" idea and that way, he'll have a place to go, in case he's not watched for a minute and I can also get a better idea of how long after he eats or drinks it takes for him to have to go potty. That way I can kind of get a schedule down.

Now, if I can just figure out how to potty train my 2 year old daughter.... !!!
