Thanks all for taking the time to respond and send your well wishes. Sounds like it isn't too common...guess we were just the unlucky ones. I wish we would have thought to wait a week before the vaccination to let him get settled into his new environment.
I keep looking for the lesson we were supposed to learn and all I can come up with is that hopefully this information will reach people with new puppies and that they will learn from this sad event.
