This is a great post but definitely a hard read! It certainly is cruel!!! Before I got Bentley and didn't know diddly squat about yorkies, I had only seen in person two tiny yorkies that a friend of mine had. I wanted one ever since because hers were so small and cute. I have to admit that when I bought Bentley I thought he would end up that small. I am SOOOOOO thankful now that I have learned about the breed that he has ended up being much bigger!!! And also his size makes him a great play buddy for my nine year old son! I would not now, knowing what I know, ever purposly buy another yorkie that would be smaller than Bitsy and she is six pounds and probably looks like a giant compared to some of the yorkies on here, but to me she is so little and delicate!!! We are extra careful with her even at six pounds and I cannot imagine having one smaller. I have a runt in her litter that I am worried will not be her size full grown. I have no idea how big Bitsy or Bentely's parents are. I do know that the difference in the size of the six pups of the litter they had are a huge range!

I hope people who are considering breeding a yorkie for ANY reason will read this thread! I personally know that I will never breed again and if I read it I will get depressed. It's a tradgedy if you ask me but I hope potential unknowing breeders will read it
