Great advice! And if you WANT the puppy in your bed, you can move him in LATER after he's housetrained and sleeps through the night. Remember, your goal is a completely housetrained well adjusted grown up dog who knows you are in charge. It's so much work to achieve that later if you give in now!

Puppies will fuss when put in their crate, but if it doesn't achieve anything (no attention from you) they will stop and settle down. It just takes awhile.

Enjoy your new pup, this will all be a DISTANT memory sooner than you think!
