 bad first night
He's here! It's been how many months I've been emailing on this group and researching breeders! He's awesome...but I'm exhausted. No sleep last night. He would NOT settle down. All wants to do is play. He also would not pee outside (3 hours int he car and we would stop) or on the pee pads I brought. I finally put him in his crate in my room even though he wouldn't "go". I was so tired. 11pm...ugh
He whined and I was so worried about him messing himself. I thought...okay...I'll put him on the bed to calm him down and sneak him back in. I tried petting him but he was CRAZY. I went to get something...and he peed on my down comforter!!! Ugh.
I cleaned that up and put him in his crate and let him whine. He finally calmed down for a couple of hours but our pilot light went out and the house got SO cold. He started barking. I woke up because of the cold too. His bark was raspy. He is still battling a cold. I was nervous that the house was too cold and was so tired so I put him back in bed with me in the dark. He slept like an angel the whole rest of the night. VEry sweet dog.
Problem is....I am being told that I need to crate train...I gave in...and what if he jumps off the bed and hurts himself...and what if he pees again?
