I have posted recently that I really don't buy many "dog treats" anymore. My dogs don't seem to like them that well.

Anyway - I give them healthy food for treats - and just consider their treats part of their food for the day.

I give them pieces of chicken, cheese, other meats, etc. etc. They just love these things and I feel better giving them these foods. I cook chicken and other meats sometimes for my dogs (or cut up my leftovers) and almost always have some at hand in the refrigerator (or in baggies in the freezer). I cut them up in small pieces before I freeze them....so they're ready to go when they thaw out.

There are all sorts of healthy foods that your dogs would like for treats. Just be creative. And believe me, they do like a variety of different things.

I do have dog treats, but I think they are kind of like us eating "junk food."

Good luck! Carol Jean
