myriamha - It seems to be quite common that Yorkies don't start barking until they are about your pup's age. In addition to my Joey, I've read sooo many people post that "my Yorkie doesn't bark much" and then around 5,6,7 months that all changes.
If you want your Yorkie to be more of a barker (and only you can decide that), I'd train it like any other behavior. I'd carry small treats around in my pocket. Anytime pup makes a sound, I'd reward with praise and a treat. At first, I'd reward any sound. Then, I'd gradually reward only louder, barking type sounds.
Do think about the consequences. Yapping dogs can be a problem. BUT, as I said, the choice is yours!
