Sammy and Sophie (our yorkies) just hop in the shower with us too. We have the hand held shower plus a seat to sit on the help with the back. My husband usually washes and rinses,,,,,and I do all the drying and fluffing. (First they like to run around the house for a few minutes after the towel drying is complete). It is a good bonding time for all of us and they seem to really enjoy bathtime.
