She has to be pet quality for $600. You are right to question. Baxter was $600, which isn't much (females are more expensive though) and he is just fine (he's 1 1/2 yrs).

The fact that she is only $600 and is 8 months old, I would be leary. Ask questions and find out what the deal is before you buy...it could be something as simple as she held it back to breed and now everyone wants a puppy...but I would make sure I was comfortable with buying her.

Don't be in a rush...if she isn't the right one, you will find one. If she isn't the right one, you will be much happier that you waited a little longer for the right one.
