My Toto actually started as a "bribe" which backfired on my husband!!
After our poodle died several years ago, I had been really firm when I said never, never will I get that attached to another dog!! I never intended to have another pet!!
I was so devistated by Nicole's death that I couldn't even think about it! My husband wanted to buy a travel trailer and began researching and I [not being a "camper"] would just say ... whatever, dear ... ! I really don't know how he came up with the Yorkie idea because neither of us had a clue about them. He would be online and say ... look at this ... unbelievable!! Naturally, I became curious ... they were just adorable!!
We began buying and studying books and any information we could find and before I knew it ... he had sucked me in!!!
Then he began a serious search! He would show me this one and that one and then I would see the price!!
Being the conservative one I was mortified .... pay THAT for a tiny dog? .... I don't THINK so!!! His philosophy has always been "whatever makes YOU happy"!! He finally found [through a vet] a breeder in Georgia who raises show dogs and after a long process and an eternity of waiting .... taa daa!!! TOTO!! We both became her "slaves" within five minutes of holding her and would've paid ten times over her price!!!
We got her on October 21 and picked up his travel trailer at the factory in Texas on October 27!!! What a whirlwind ... next thing I knew, I was in a park, in a trailer, holding my tiny baby Toto!!
The really funny thing ... he is more attached to her than I, if that's possible!!!
She is spoiled rotten and our absolute joy!!!
