Parti yorkies can be registered with the AKC. Biewers can't. Biewers have to have four white legs and partis must have three colors. Parti tails are docked like the traditional yorkie as we know it but biewer are full tail. Biewers have their origins in Germany partis I have no clue. SOme are even wanting to consider the Biewers a breed of its own all to gether. Hope this helps. BIewers can be registered here in the USA I believe only under the a certain registry.
