when we first brought Buckeye home. He would not eat anything. i bought various brands of food. so i started giving him the food we eat. that was a big mistake. a trip to the vet because he was vomiting blood. the first thing the vet asked me was "what are you feeding him?". we put him on science diet small bites. he has been on that ever since. he ate it just fine. but ... i think the problem in the first place was a change in homes. this was his first attempt to wrap us arund his little paw. it worked!
