Cajungal,

I know how you feel. I had two dogs (still have one) before I got my Yorkie, and I had truly forgotten what having a little puppy is like. I had forgotten how bad the chewing, biting, peeing, and pooping can be. Shame on me!

But I have been quickly reminded and the new little pup and I have been going through all these same things again. I remember now that my one little pup ate and tore up the puppy pads as fast as I could put them down. We finally just had to stop using them. They weren't working at all and simply created another mess to clean up.

And you know - a lot of these problems will lessen as your little girl gets older. You were right when you mentioned the "puppy stage."

And - for sure - little puppies are all different; no two are the same. You just have to work with what you have, do your best, and in time a lot of these problems will disappear - or at least become more tolerable.

If your puppy is confining her messes to the "laundry room" when you are gone, this is a good thing. It's a small area and you probably have a floor that can be easily cleaned.

Hang in there!!!!!! You know things will get better - this is a given! At least you don't have a "big dog" pup. They can be a lot more trouble than our little ones are.

And, take some comfort in the fact that the problems that you are having are the same ones most of us have lived through - or are going through right along with you.
