Hi Everyone!
I live in NJ, and flea season is upon us.
I was browsing some "Natural Pet" sites, and found out a lot of information regarding flea PREVENTION with natural products; essential oils. Use of lemon, eucalyptus, lavender oils, Neem, teatree, and others has been known to prevent fleas from jumping onto our babies.
There is a simple recipe for a lemon based, make-at-home product. Cut one fresh lemon (the more rind, the better) and place it into 1 pint of boiling water. Let it seep overnight, strain, and pour into spray bottle. Spray baby's hair, let dry before going out in sun.
There are many other recipes for drops of essential oils into an oil base, such as olive or almond. It seemed a little complicated ordering all the ingredients from different places, and then, I happened upon "Critter Oil". It was invented by a "holistic groomer" in FL. It comes with a recipe book; you can make a diluted spray for pet, bedding, garden, and add it to your favorite shampoo.
I spray my guys with Frontline Spray and want to augment this treatment, not with any other drugs or chemicals, but with something natural.
Not for use in households with cats. Essential oils are toxic to them.
I just received mine today from
http://www.naturespet.com , and will read booklet thoroughly before use.
I was just wondering if anyone else has used this or a similar product.
Thanks.
