WELL worth it. I've had two dogs already returned to me due to their AVID microchips. They were lost during transport on airplanes (FYI).
Oh, and my understanding is that while there are many micro chip companies out there now (Home Again, AVID...) that all scanners are universal IN THE SENSE that while the scanner cannot read the number to the chip, that it will detect that the dog is at least chipped. -?- On this, I may really be wrong.
I did my homework and discovered that AVID products are carried by more vets in the US and Canada than ANY other company out there, which is why I went w/ AVID. |
