My puppy got a sinus infection when he was just 9 weeks old. The vet gave us liquid Benadryl for him (he was only about 1.5 pounds at the time). I gave it to him and it made him a little sleepy, but it wasn't like he was just falling over from being so tired! Try giving it around bedtime if it seems to affect your dog. If you want to be sure about the dosing, you can always check with a pharmacist~I'm sure they will be glad to discuss it with you.
