There are canine eye specialists around. I would suggest you might want to find one in your area and ask them about it. An eye specialist for dogs would know how common it might be in the Yorkie. He or she can also tell you if it is considered an inherited problem in YOrkies which from the reading I did, it looks like it is inherited. If it is, you don't want to be repeating that mating.
You can also find information about the pup you have now. I don't know if the eye may eventually have to be removed. In human babies, it looks like it does although I don't know if it is always so. |
