If they throw up or cough after eating it, it's just because some of it gets lodged in their throat - causing them to cough, etc. In this case, give them food or water to help the grass go down.
My dogs and cats have eaten and loved grass all their lives.

sorry to disagree, but most grass has a lot of potential toxins and bacteria and who knows what from fertilizers,weed killers, pollutants, rodents, other critters, insects etc. Really not a good idea to let your yorks eat it.
