Stewie is not microchipped and I honestly don't see the point of doing it in my area. Vet offices all have different microchipping services. It's not universal - there are a ton of companies that offer microchippping services. For example, if someone finds Stewie and brings him to be "scanned", he might not have the right brand of microchip for that office. I would definitely microchip him if there was only one universal microchipping service because it would be practical.
Whenever he is outside, he wears two tags. One with my number and address on it and one with 3 other phone numbers of my family members that can always be reached in case of an emergency.
